Woodzee Sunglasses | giveaway

pants: Free People // sweater: Diva's Boutique // boots: Charlotte Russe // sunnies c/o Woodzee

When Woodzee reached out to me to collaborate I had never heard of them before, so I immediately jumped on and did my research to find out just who this interesting company was. I began reading their mission statement, where they are from, etc. and absolutely fell in love! I have great respect for companies who give back or help the community. Woodzee is a brand based out of Northern California in Chico (city of trees) and for every Woodzee piece you buy they plant a tree! The company seriously does some amazing things, I would suggest taking a little peek of their Recycle Project & Tree Project

Today, Woodzee is giving away a pair of their sunglasses to one lucky reader!! I am wearing their latest women's glasses: Sierra in brown/multi but they just added a bunch of new ones with hints of color in them!!

Good Luck!!

my fav. yellow skirt fall edition

skirt (similar) & tights (similar): Forever21 // shirt (here) c/o Choies // jacket (similar): Nordstrom // shoes (similar): Charlotte Russe // bracelets tassel (here) c/o Sophistifunk // earrings c/o Kendra Scott

I have this issue with buying bold, statement pieces for my wardrobe. When I see something eye catching or "different" I immediately feel as though I have to have it. Why is this an issue you ask? Well, I now have a closet full of awesome pieces that can only be worn ever so often... not an issue for my closet but definitely and issue for my wallet! This skirt is an example of a bold piece I  have added to my closet, remember this post & this post wearing this yellow skirt back in spring? I refused to put it away for a few seasons so I dug deep into my inner creativity, added a few fall staples ie. leather jacket + tights, and tada, you have my fav. yellow skirt ready for fall!
I am desperately trying to shop for more neutral colors this season to mix with all these wonderful bold statement pieces I currently have. Any suggestions on where I should be looking for these staple, diverse, neutral pieces?

a beach bach bash

A few weeks ago I planned a bachelorette party for one of my besties. We headed off to San Diego, California with 14 wonderful ladies for a weekend of fun. We packed champagne, swimsuits, customized T-Shirts, our flip flops, and anything else we could think of for our weekend. I was jotting down ideas in party planning mode for the perfect decorations when I came across the etsy shop Banners For You. I saw the Bitches & Bubbly sign and knew that would be perfect for this occasion.  Then I saw they had customizes tassel garland... had to have!! I emailed Jess and she was more than accommodating on helping me make the perfect garland to match my sign.

Below I have attached some pictures from our weekend.  I am sure you had an over load on Instagram the week I was there... my apologizes for that!
If you are planning a party and need some customized decor head over to see Jess at Banners For You,  you will not be sorry!!

THEIT BAG | giveaway

pants (similar) & sweater (similar) c/o Aeropostale // plaid shirt (similar): Traget // vest: Roxy // camera bag (here) c/o THEIT // boots (here): Hunter // lipstick: MAC Lady Danger

I get asked the questions: Where is your camera bag from? or I just bought a new camera, I need a cute camera bag, suggestions? or I love your purse... oh wait its your camera bag right? Well my friends I am answering all those questions today. My favorite camera bag is from THEIT Bags! A Canadian based company with exceptional customer service and quality leather, not to mention the look of the bags are fabulous. And no I am not being bias since it is a Canadian company!

I take my THEIT Bag almost anywhere, you have seen posts from my road trip down the coast this summer, I have taken it to phoenix fashion week events, dinner dates, and even the state fair! (these outfit photos were taken on a day trip to Flagstaff, I took the chair lift up to the top of the mountain and obvi. my camera had to accompany me) Being a photographer I MUST HAVE my DSLR Canon always with me so I don't miss that perfect shot. The annoying thing is it doesn't always fit in my purse so I had to get a camera bag but not those boyish looking ones from Best Buy or Walmart .... they were just not cutting it for me. This is where THEIT comes into play! Best part, it doubles both as a purse & my camera bag!

THEIT is being oh so kind today and giving one lucky reader their very own bag of choice!!! Can we say AH-MAZING!!! If you enter any giveaway this year, THIS one is prob. the one to enter! Now if you just can't wait to see if you won & you just have to have your very own stylish bag asap use the code: LOVECB20 for $20 off any bag!! *not valid with other discounts, valid only through end of Nov. comfort > fashion?

leggings c/o Brickyard Buffalo // top: Dynamite // jacket & bracelet: Forever21 // shoes: Steve Madden

As much as I love fashion I love being comfortable even more. Being that I am one of those people who can't sit with my feet on the floor (they are always curled up under me) I try my best to look put together yet feel super comfortable. As we get into the cooler weather sundresses are out and pants are in. A great pair of jeans are fabulous but like I said I love curling my legs up under me so I tend to lean towards leggings, jeggings, maxi dress/skirts or lets face it even sweats! One of the biggest trends that has now been around for a few seasons is floral! Floral leggings hit the scene last fall and are still going strong this year as well. They seem to be the perfect pattern that can be paired with almost anything. I am loving my leggings sent from Brickyard Buffalo (p.s. they are a thick soft material, great for all you ladies living in the north or east) so much that I have set out about15 different outfit ideas that will be worn as soon as the weather cools just a tad more! Arizona problems = fall doesn't come till December.

If you have not already entered the Lilla Rose giveaway from last week you have one more day!!!

cheers to the weekend

jean: William Rast (old) // top: Old Navy (similar) // necklace c/o T+J designs (here) // watch: MK // shoes: Charlotte Russe // lips: MAC chatter box

Here's to the weekend! After a long busy week of working + blog dates I am super excited to see Friday.  As much as I love being go go go, sometimes it is just nice to sit on my couch and relax every once in a while. I have lots of Breaking Bad to catch up on as well as maybe a little fall shopping. I did a big closet clean out the other day, clothes that have not been worn in 2 seasons will probably not be worn again so donate or bag them up until they come back in style. You'll be surprised how much more room you'll find in your closet or how many hangers will appear so everything can actually be hung up!

Now you know what I'll be doing, what are your plans for the weekend? Any of our fav stores having sales where I can score a deal?!

Lilla Rose

pants & shirt: Marshall's // shoes: Target // headband c/o Lilla Rose

Do you know what day it is? It's hump day. Yup Yup HUUMP DAY!!!
I am sure you all know what commercial I just referenced. Thank you Geico for providing entertainment in my household, my roommate can not seem to get enough of + laughs harder each time she sees it! Perfect way to get us through the week!

I am super excited to introduce you to Lilla Rose aka Hair Jewelry today! When Independent Consultant Mandi Richards contacted me about collaborating I was super excited because hair accessories (especially headbands) have been an obsession of mine ever since Blair Waldorf walked into my life. As I am growing older I have to ditch the big bows and lean towards more delicate mature headbands, inset Lilla Rose! The unique bead work in all the pieces add a little something extra to any day to day outfit.

You are able to shop online, host a party, or even become a consultant yourself! How fun would a party be? If you are interested contact Mandi and I am sure she will be more than happy to set it up for you! Today I am giving you a chance to win a piece of jewelry from Lilla Rose yourself! Like I said my fav is the Roses Headband! (pictured below)

brrr, its cold outside!

pants (similar) + t-shirt (similar) c/o Aeropostale // sweater (here) c/o Chicnova // handbag (similar) c/o LuLu*s // boots: Charlotte Russe // scarf: Forever21 // sunglasses: Coach

The weather in Arizona has finally started to cool off a little. By cool off, I mean it is only a high of 87  and only to us zonies does that mean pull out the sweater and boots! Other states are getting inches of snow while we are here still sweating away, but that does not stop me from rocking my fall attire. Fall fashion has always been my favorite because there are an unlimited amount of options to dress yourself in each day. Yes it may take a little more effort than just throwing on shorts & a tee in a laid back style, but even that can get old! This is one of my new favorite sweaters from Chicnova, it is light enough for me to wear in this "fall" weather but will also serve well when the temperature does fall below 80 degrees... a win win!

PS this outfit post really made me realize just how bad my roots are... eek! Shall I re-highlight or bring back the ombre for the winter months?

PPS I will be back to normal with Life According to my iPhone next week, life has been a little crazy but a routine is being inserted stating today!

Kendra Scott: Color Bar experience

Last week I had the pleasure to go up and visit the fabulous ladies up at Kendra Scott at Scottsdale Quarter! Kendra has always caught my eye, but it wasn't until I went to visit Miss Shanna in Austin for the Texas Style Council that I really had a true appreciation for the jewelry. The stores are incredibly beautiful, the one in Austin was packed so I didn't get the full effect or really learn all the cool things there is to do.
When I was invited up to the new Scottsdale store I jumped on it. I got a tour of the entire store, the new fall line that had launched earlier this season and of course I got to learn all about the Color Bar! Each Kendra Scott store has a screen where you can design your very own piece! So if you don't see something you like in the store, just make your own! No extra coast and the ladies have it put together for you before you leave.

They have drawers behind the counter with all the different colored stones
This is the touch screen you use to design your own pieces. You can see at the bottom you are able to choose the item you would like, then on the sides they have all the different colors. You can choose a gold setting or a silver setting, and best part you can change it up as you go!
The ladies make it for you right then and there
I designed two different pairs of earrings. I was looking for more fall theme, I couldn't decide for the longest which ones I wanted but finally chose the red ones!

All Kendra Scott stores with the Color Bar also host parties, so if you have a birthday or bridal event, so just a random Saturday just call and coordinate with the events planner at the store and they set up a party for you....best part they serve cupcakes & champagne!

Next week Kendra is launching her Aurora holiday line! If you live close to a store I am sure they are having a launch party, you might not want to miss it! If anyone is here in Arizona, I will be at the Scottsdale Quarter party next Wednesday, October 16th come in and say hello!

PHX FW - Night 3!

dress (here) & heels (similar) c/o LuLu*s // jacket (similar) & S bracelet (here): Nordstrom // headband (here) c/o LookBook Store // clutch: Random Boutique on Melrose

Last Friday was my 3rd day at Phoenix Fashion Week and my last.... insert large sad face! I went with my blogging bestie again, Miss Brie (who randomly showed up in a neon maxi dress as well... not planned, we just share the same mind!) We got the Talking Stick Resort early enough to make it to the top of the parking structure to catch the sunset and of course take some outfit pics!

The show kicked off with a fabulous Men's line called GENTS. You can find them at Nordstrom (and other department store & boutiques) they are a perfect casual style that the guy next door who watched football on Sundays would love!

Another fav show was the JHaus jeans! Mostly because they walked to country music, but also because the jeans look & fit unreal.

They had a violinist who was incredible, there is a video on my Instagram that you must check out!
Thank you to PHX FW for an amazing experience! The shows, the fashion, the friends, and the whole week in general was unforgettable.  I can't wait till next year!
