My Summer Hacks

Ladies I want to take today and talk to you about my new love the act of hair removal! It is summer and here in Arizona when the weather reaches 110+ I am wearing nothing but short shorts, sundresses, or you can just find me splashing around in the pool. Although all of this sounds lovely the act of shaving is starting to test my patience! Enter Veet fast acting hair removal for sensitive skin! As a fair skinned beauty I have very sensitive skin.... my razor burn can get unreal. So, I have tossed the razor this year and I am loving Veet hair removal gel for the shower. Yes, I can use it in the shower! And the best part for me or any of you faired skinned ladies, it is directly designed for sensitive skin so don't worry about break outs, irritation, or redness.

Summer is always a rough time for your skin + hair so I have amped up my beauty routine for the next few months. Although I always seem to be on the go an at home beauty routine needs to be quick and efficient or I wont even both with it. As I enter the shower (excuse me for leaving those photos out of the post ;)) I simple add Veet  fast acting get cream to my legs, rise my hands and let it sit for 5 minutes. As I am letting the gel cream sit I apply coconut oil to my hair and massage through the ends. After the 5 minutes is up I jump under the water and wipe my legs clean, shampoo my hair, and tada I am smooth as can be and my hair is conditioned. It is simple and easy and a perfect summer routine!

So tell me, what do you do for your summer hacks?!

Veet® helps you feel smooth all summer long.
There's nothing like the feeling of freedom that summer brings. https://www.facebook.com/veet

I rarely shop at Rue21, it just never really crosses my mind but I randomly went the other day and I found my perfect shorts.... for 21 bucks! I am so excited to add these shorts to my wardrobe they will be perfect for summer concerts, country bars, and any 4th of july celebration! If you are on the fence on american flag clothing take the plunge and add a few pieces to your closet!

glam on with Salon Eclectic

I am so excited to talk to you about this amazing experience I had at a local salon in Arizona a few weeks ago. When Kahley with Salon Eclectic emailed me about coming to experience her salon I had no idea it was going to be as fabulous as it was!! This salon has everything ladies, and I mean everything! A full hair salon & dry bar, a full make-up bar, airbrush tanning, and even a boutique!

When I first arrived I was greeted by Kahley at the front desk (ps she is super sweet!) and then taken back to have my blowout done. Miss Kaitlyn who has just moved to Arizona from Boston was fantastic and did exactly what I wanted. As I am trying to grow my hair out I always want it to look long and luscious if possible, so I typically describe a little volume, some curl, but most importantly keep the length and that is exactly what Kaitlyn gave me. After my blowout I headed over to the tanning area for an airbrush tan from Kahley herself! I am always nervous as can be when going in for a spray tan... it just reminds me of that episode on friends when Ross is trying to work the booth! Needless to say, Kahley was awesome at calming my nerves as she was such a pro. The tan was perfection, not too dark, it smelled like vanilla, and absolutely no streaks! After my tan I headed over to Josie for a make over. I wanted something natural since my tan was fresh so I had Josie use braze natural tones. Can you believe a salon can have a full make up bar?! Seriously it was amazing! Josie did exactly what I wanted which topped off my experience.

I couldn't waste all this glam on just a regular evening so I grabbed the bf and headed out to a romantic dinner at the cutest little restaurant in Tempe, AZ called The Watershed! It was great to be outside, my tan was glowing and I loved my hair so much I wore it the same way for three days!

If you are in Arizona or visiting anytime soon I would highly suggest taking a visit to Salon Eclectic Salon & Boutique to get your glam on and do a little shopping!

summer skin protection

As much as we all wish we had natural Brazilian skin reality is most of us do not. We all love tan lines with that bronze natural glow but there needs to be a skin safe way to get it. I have naturally very fair skin so SPF is super important for my daily summer face routine. Do you remember this post here about the amazing skincare line Enza? Well I am still loving them and I am loving their face SPF even more!! I apply it after my regular morning routine before my make-up to get that perfect protection all day long. If for some reason I miss a little section or the rest of my body happens to get a little burnt Enza has Nutri-Gel similar to aloe but full of vitamins and nutrients to sooth your skin.

From now until June 30th Enza has both the SPF & the Nutri-Gel on sale for $15 each! That is 50% off, and they are being so generous to even offer another 25% off the already reduced price to all C&B readers!!! That brings each item down to $11.25 each!!! Use code SUMMERCLASSIC at check out!

shorts (SIMILAR): Forever21 // shirt (HERE): Nordstrom // shoes c/o LuLu*s // clutch (SIMILAR): Michael Kors // watch c/o La Mer // bracelet (SIMILAR): Forever21 // earrings (HERE): Nordstrom // sunnies: Betsy Johnson via Marshalls // nails (HERE): Essie 'bachelorette bash' // lips (HERE): MAC 'pink pigeon

I know I have said it once or twice but I can't seem to get enough of all white this summer. Usually it's all white sundresses but I am even loving white tanks w/ white shorts, white jeans on white tees, everything white! To add a little kick for today's outfit I accessorized with tan and let my lips jump out with hot pink. Ladies I am telling ya Pink Pigeon from MAC is the peeerfect summer lip color! Happy Hump Day!

delicious summer snack

Summer time is all about fruit, cold desserts, and getting creative! I have been on the search for healthy snacks this summer so I don't end up eating a Reese's Klondike bar daily (its been a problem lately). I went to Costco + splurged on a bunch of fruit, naturally I thought it was a great idea I get triple amount of fruit for the same price... why not?! When I got home it hit me I had to eat it all so I decided to get creative.

I made an easy summer desert that was de-li-cious! Super easy all you need is: banana's, strawberries, blueberries, peanut butter, and Nutella (I improvised since all the Nutella was sold out!). First step: slice the banana's and strawberries in think even slices. Second step: add a layer of peanut butter to each slice of banana. Third step: layer a piece of strawberry on top of the peanut butter. Fourth step: add a layer of Nutella on top of the strawberry. Finally: top it off with a blueberry! the trickiest part is making the peanut butter stay, you have to be careful it doesn't stick to your fingers. After you have made your little fruit sandwich put them on a dish and pop them into the freezer. 45 minutes later you have a delicious little summer snack!

blazers to the rescue

blazer (SIMILAR) c/o Sheinside // shorts (SIMILAR): Forever21 // black tank (SIMILAR): Nordstrom // shoes (SIMILAR): Steve Madden // clutch (HERE) c/o LuLu*s // watch (HERE): MK // nail polish (HERE): Essie 'bachelorette bash' // lips (HERE) & (HERE): MAC 'snob' + 'vegas volt' mixed

This post is directed to all you ladies living in overly hot climates... Phoenix, Vegas, Austin, any southern state.... I am sure you will all be able to relate to what I am about to say. Here in Phoenix the temp as I have stated before is well over 100+ degrees... we have already hit 111 last week! Ah! So why am I wearing a blazer? Naturally I sweat my booty off outside but as soon as I walk into the mall, grocery store, or any restaurant the AC is cranked so high that I immediately start to shiver. This drives me crazy!!! SO,  I have started to plan outfits that can be worn both ways. When I got to the grocery or the mall I usually grab a cardigan but going out to dinner or evening time I have stared to add light blazers like this one from Sheinside to polish off the outfit. PS yes I was sweating for these pics, good thing it only took me a few mins to shoot! Happy Monday loves!

It's HUMP day! Happy Wednesdays bloggers, I am excited for this week to be going fast I am really looking forward to the weekend. Not too much planned except relaxing and maybe a little it of organizing. I wasn't so good at spring cleaning this year... its more going to summer cleaning! Annnyways, today's outfit is simple & comfy. This neon pink tee was oh maybe $8 dollars from forever21 like 4 years ago and it is still my favorite.  It is so comfy I have pretty much worn it out, but I don't care I will continue to rock it as long as I can. For a casual look this week I paired it with camo pants and come neutral color accessories.

all c/o aeropostale

One thing about summer that seems to stress most women out is the thought on putting on a bikini in public! Eeeek! How do we over come this fear?! We get bikini ready which means salads, grilled, chicken and fruit.... right?! Or if you enjoy those not so healthy meals like me, it means getting your butt to the gym! I don't like paying a lot for workout clothes. Don't get me wrong a great pair of lululemon's can be my best friend but not so friendly to my wallet. I am going to let you all in on a little secret here..... AEROPOSTALE has be best work out line..... for reasonable prices!! Fun bright colors, cool designs, comfy sports bras, running shorts that don't ride up, matching, non matching, yoga to running.... get my point! I love the haul I just picked up last weekend, you bet I feel much better prancing into the gym now that I have rocking clothes to wear. It actually looks like I might know what I'm doing!!

black + brights....

kimono (HERE) c/o OASAP // romper (SIMILAR): LA boutique // shoes (SIMILAR): Steve Madden // bag: H&M // watch c/o LuLu*s // necklace (HERE) + earrings (HERE) c/o Brooklyn Designs // lips (HERE): MAC 'pink pigeon' // nails (HERE): Essie 'cute as a button'

It is no secret that kimono's are fabulous! They are so versatile that you can wear them as a beach cover-up, as a casual everyday outfit, as festival fashion, or even out to dinner. I love this black + bright floral one from OASAP for more of a night time look. It is light enough for the Arizona heat but still keeps something over your shoulders when you walk into those AC filled restaurants or malls. Perfect Arizona staple if you ask me! On a side note, thank you for all the love on Friday's blog birthday post! I felt so special, can't wait to see what year 3 will bring! Happy Monday love, thanks for following along!

I can't believe it was three years ago {tomorrow} that I started this little piece of the internet called Classic & Bubbly. Some days it seems like just yesterday, others days when I can't find a single thing to put together for an outfit it feels like a decade. Either way I am so grateful for the opportunities, the friends, the experiences that blog land has brought my way. It has completely and utterly changed my life and for that I am thankful! I am also so thankful to all my friends & family who have supported me throughout this journey. I am so excited to see what this little blog of mine will bring this coming year!
